This is a very tedious and time consuming technique but it produces really interesting results. If I could only figure out what I want to do with it, that would be great.

I clung to this little snippet of painting like Leonardo DiCaprio held onto that makeshift raft after the Titanic sank.

I finally gave in, there was no saving it. RIP little schmutz.

Probably not that exciting really, I think I was more enamored with the materials and technique I was experimenting with than the actual “beauty” of the detail.

Sometimes a painting fails but a section of it was successful. I often try to salvage the good part and remake the rest of the painting, but that rarely works so I thought I’d start posting shots of the details that I hated to let go of.
